Application
These liquid sensors are used in gas sample conditions/systems as security alarm in case of condensate break through.
Coolers, water-stops and automated drains are responsible for condensate evacuation.
To monitor this equipment we place behind these components a liquid alarm sensor.
This will avoid a breakthrough of condensate to optical analysers or analytical cells witch can not withstand any liquid.
In case of, a pump can be shut down, or a solenoid valve is activated for protection.
Description
The Ankersmid ALA 001 sensor works on the principle of electrical conductivity. 2 electrodes measure a small current in case of liquid ( Min 40µmS/cm conductance).
The electrodes are mounted under a vertical gas path that projects due to gravity the smallest droplet on the electrodes.
An alarm is generated by a electronic module with a potential fuse contact
