TYTRONICS’ SENTINEL enables you to:
-
Ensure that streams, rivers and coastal waters are not contaminated by excess nickel;
-
Prove that a plant, or plant site, is causing pollution of local waters by high nickel content;
-
Meet Regulatory Requirements & Avoid Expensive Penalties.
The measurement of nickel is most important in controlling the contamination of drinking water sources as well as municipal wastewater by industries using nickel.
Industries using nickel include: chemical, petro-chemical, electroplating, and metal refineries.
Enhanced Features of Tytronics'® Sentinel:
-
Programmable from 1 to 10 methods for a single analysis compound;
-
Up to 3 different calibration methods;
-
Eight relay outputs, multi-programmable on each relay;
-
Alarm functions, including sample flow, reagent level detection;
-
From 1 to 6 stream configurations standard
METHOD
The Tytronics’ Sentinel uses our dual wavelength procedure by which the selected reference wavelength compensates for any minor turbidity in sample solution. Reagent 1 is a buffer consisting of sodium citrate, dihydrate, ammonia and sodium hypochlorite. Reagent 2 consists of 1 gram of dimethylgloxime in methanol.
